A Letter from the Founders

We would like to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves. Our names are Jim and Linda Hogenson. We are the founders of Manna for Life Ministries. We started the ministry in 1998. Before that we volunteered cooking at the NEW shelter and Cornerstone Family Church which was located in the inner city of Green Bay.

Until two years ago we rented the buildings that the ministry operated in. Then in 2013 we purchased the facility, we now call home, located at 1545 University Ave. Green Bay, WI. For over two years we worked on refurbishing our 30,000 sq. ft. structure and remodeling the kitchen, dish washing area and janitor’s room. Now that the renovations are completed, our hot lunch program, food pantry and thrift store are totally operational. The thrift store supplies about half of the finances we require to operate the ministry.

We are beginning a new program that we believe will provide the rest of the funds that we need to operate the ministry. We are calling it the 1,000/25 Club. One thousand people giving $25.00 per month for a year. If you are interested in partnering with us we will provide 12 self-addressed stamped envelopes for your convenience. We will also giving you a tax donation receipt at the end of each year.

If you would like a tour of Manna for Life or would like to speak to me you may reach us at 920-362-2726 or send us a message on our Contact Page. We ask that you would please sign and return a commitment form that we can send to you. Thank You.
