Manna For Life Food Pantry

In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, The Emergency Food Assistance Program, The Onedia Tribe of Indians, Other Area Food Panties, and Local Businesses, Manna For Life feeds over 1500 Brown County Residence every month. The Food pantry services can be used by a family once each month. The quality of food is portioned out based on the number of family members living in the home.

The food pantry is open every Wednesday alternating its hours of operation between 10-1 or 2-5. Each family receives bread, dry goods and a bag of frozen food.

After signing in and insuring that the necessary paper work is filled out, recipients meet one on one with a member of the Manna staff to see if there are other needs that manna can help meet. One of the visions is to provide resources regarding other agencies and organizations that provide food, clothing, shelter, and health needs.

The Manna for Life staff realizes that each person has the ability to give, and may someday need to receive. In fact, many of the staff and volunteers have been clients. They understand the emotional and spiritual struggles those in poverty face.

Manna For Life daily provides sandwiches, coffee, and bread for those in need. Each week over 6000 sandwiches are distributed. Even more importantly they provide a compassionate ear, and a place for people to have their spiritual struggles to be addressed as well.

More than just food, Manna provides hope that there is a promising future for clients, one that has them no longer just receiving but being able to give as well. Giving to their family, friends, others and to the community that they live in.
