The Vision
Provide food and clothing to people in a dignified and respectful manner
Network with other local organizations to provide food and shelter to the homeless and people in need. Allow businesses and individual the opportunity to meet the need of the community by providing a tax deductible donation to manna for life. Provide resources regarding agencies and organizations that provide food, clothing, shelter, and health needs. Work with businesses and other organizations to better our community.

The History
In 1996 Jim Hogenson was awoken from a deep sleep having heard a voice telling to him feed the poor. The voice was so loud he actually asked Linda (his wife) what she had said. Having spent his career in corrections as a jail inspector, Jim saw himself as a tough guy. Not the kind that hears Gods voice, and not the type to run a ministry. The two of them prayed and it became obvious that he and Linda were the people God wanted. Linda's compassion and never ending energy and Jims love for people combine to give a modern day example of living Matthew 25:35,36. But we are all called to feed the hungry, and cloth the naked. The Future
Manna For life is making a huge impact on the community and has numerous stories from the lives that have been changed. Their vision is to do more. The thrift store is being remolded to showcase a women's boutique, a men "locker room" area, a book store, a place to better display the furniture an appliances; and an upgraded children's area. The improved facilities should bring more people into the thrift store. This also allows for more job training (a program that Manna provides for its clients). The vision does not stop there; the future dream is for a coffee shop, chapel, the resources to work more with at risk children, and a new larger facility for people to receive training, food, and life counseling.
